Soprano Pain-Free Hair Removal Cardiff

Soprano Ice Hair Removal – Alexandrite & Diode Nd:yag Laser

Removal of unwanted hair is a daily challenge for most men and women. Traditional methods of shaving, tweezing, waxing and electrolysis are only effective temporarily and have unwanted side effects such as skin irritation, in-growing hairs and embarrassing growth. In the case of electrolysis, scarring is another possible side effect.

We now have an Soprano Titanium and Soprano Ice Technology. This is the best and latest technology on the market and we were the first clinic in Wales to get this machine. The reason this is better than any others on the market, is because it gives you the best result, quickly, affordably and best of all with no pain. We can also treat fair hair and very dark skin including those with a tan. Give it a go yourself today…

We do not recommend Intense Pulse Light (IPL) for any hair removal as this treatment is very painful and not as effective or as longer lasting as Laser treatment.

How does laser soprano hair removal work?

Highly controlled flashes of light energy are selectively absorbed by hair-filled follicles. The melanin absorbs the light and heats the hair shaft, destroying hair re-growth but not the surrounding skin.

How many treatments will I need?

After a compulsory skin test we will start on your treatment. The growth cycle will be influenced by age, hormones and gender. We recommend a minimum of 3, and on average 6 treatments. This can vary on each person.

Can all hair colours be treated?

Soprano Ice works best on dark hairs because the pigment melanin absorbs the laser light. Fair hair can respond well, but white hair, grey hair, very blond hair and some types red hair respond poorly to Laser. As an alternative, we can use Electrolysis or Applisonix that works on all skin colours and hair types.

Can all parts of the body be treated?

Using the latest laser technology for Soprano Ice hair removal we are able to treat all areas of the body quickly, safely and effectively. We can treat from your head to the tips of your toes!

Is the treatment painful?

This depends on each clients pain threshold. There can be a slight discomfort usually described by patients as a warm tingling sensation. With our new ‘in motion’ laser, treatment has become a lot more comfortable. Majority of clients say its very comfortable! This has been possible by using new technology that lowers the energy settings so we can repeat over the area to be treated several times. The other method of treating is by giving single laser pulses once over the area at a higher energy setting. This is more of a traditional way of treating Laser hair removal. Both methods are very effective, however one is more comfortable than the other. The treatments are so effective that clients can return immediately to work or their daily routine and hence no lost time.

Are there any after effects?

After having laser hair removal the area that has been treated may have slight redness, however, this fades within the first few hours. Blistering is extremely rare with our new Harmony XLi laser, and we always test patch clients before having any laser treatment to make sure their skin is ok to treat.

How is laser hair removal different from electrolysis hair removal?

Laser hair removal is much more effective and less invasive. Electrolysis hair removal requires more time because it’s a process that treats only 1 hair at a time, whereas laser hair removal treats many hairs per every laser pulse. For example an area like the underarms, laser hair removal treatment would only take up to 10 minutes to treat, however, with electrolysis, this could take over an hour.

Is it safe?

We have been registered with the Health Inspectorate of Wales (HIW) since 2006 when it became a legal requirement to do so. This ensures that we adhere to protocol at all times for your peace of mind. Laser treatment has been clinically proven to be safe to use on people with no serious side affects. The worst outcome from laser hair removal would be a burn to the skin, however, this is an extremely rare outcome.

What’s the minimum age for laser hair removal?

We currently treat from the age 16 and over. Young people that have not finished growing will develop new hair as they grow, therefore, treatment cannot be carried out on any person younger than this age. When people reach this age, hormone levels have started to level off. This is when they can start the process of becoming hair free.

What’s the best advice you could give to someone considering this or any other beauty treatment?

Always book in for a free of charge consultation to find out more about the clinic, the practitioner treating you and the treatment itself. After all, people buy from people and there needs to be trust and confidence built between the client and practitioner. The best practitioner will be honest about what can be achieved. Always ask to see client testimonials for the treatment you are having, to see other people’s experiences in the clinic.
